A Little Behind Myself

A few weeks ago, I posted with grand promises of something mind blowing, amazing, and scrumptious. I had big plans. All of which went right down the toilet and into the trash can with my 3 (count 'em, THREE) failed recipes! I haven't had this kind of losing streak since I played basketball in 7th grade. And just for the record, I am 5'2". Think about THAT for a minute.

So, look I really have got something mind blowing and I will post it, I just have to cook it first. And further to that, I just need to get a nice picture of it.

But in the meantime, I went to Bruges (pictures to come shortly)...and in Bruges. We saw this dog. He looks a little bit like how I feel about the recipes. Defeated. Depressed. Despondent.

And also, if I hadn't already been worried that border control might not let me back in to the UK on that trip to Bruges, I would've taken him.

I mean it this time.

I can imagine that pup just came off a major high of playing wildly in the park, feverishly digging trenches in his owner’s (or neighbor’s) yard while simultaneously turning it into a mine field, or chasing small bacon-wielding children and just plopped down to rest. Happy life, just needed a breather. Not that you’ve been forging any mine fields (lets hope) but maybe its just time for a good old fashioned - well deserved - rest. Apologize to no one!
